YoYo Progress

Finally after much trial and even more errors I have figured out the YoYo lacing. It is more like lacing than sewing. I am using a chenille needle. First mistake was to use a darner since it is a long needle, but it didn’t punch a big enough hole in the YoYos to pull the perle cotton through easily. I don’t think you can tell from the photo, but in some places the perle cotton is pulled through 5 times. The technique is to loop the thread around the YoYos in groups of 4. It makes a really study cloth that way. I am sure it is much faster than sewing them together. It would be if I didn’t loop the wrong way as often as the right one. The photo is of the back side, the front side has a bead at each join.
